Your Spring Lawn Care Schedule
It is important to prepare your lawn for the hot Summer months. Dependant on the needs of your lawn there are a number of options available to get the best out of your lawn.
Liming
It is important to keep the soil on which your grass grows healthy. Lime pellets can be added to your lawn which slowly release balancing the pH levels of the soil.
Fertilization
Feeding your lawn in the Spring is a good base essential. It allows your grass to grow new shoots which over Summer produces health grass growth. All lawns can be fertilized during the Spring.
Aeration
If your lawn is compacted, aeration will pull small plugs of soil from the lawn to allow air, water and nutrients to penetrate the grass roots. This helps the roots grow deeply and produce a stronger, more vigorous lawn.
Overseeding
Sometimes the lawn may need overseeding - planting new seeds directly onto your current lawn. Overseeding gives your lawn a thicker growth and better colour. It is great for building grass on bare spots as well as just giving your lawn a boost.
Lawn Repair
Following the Winter months, your lawn may have become damaged for a variety of reasons. For example the grass can easily have been damaged by snow ploughs. Your damaged areas of lawn will be assessed and treated for new healthy growth.
